Does it obey Hooke’s law experiment (10)

A
  • measure original length using ruler
  • add a (known force / load / weight)
  • measure new length / extension
  • repeat for range of values of load
  • reduce parallax error by taking measurements at eye level / repeat and average for each load
  • calculate extension
  • plot graph of extension against force / weight / load
  • graph should be a straight line
  • extension graph should pass though origin
  • force proportional to extension
