What is the function of ADH and where is it released?
It is secreted from the pituitary gland.
It controls the water levels of the blood. More ADH is secreted when there is less water in the blood which causes the collecting duct to reabsorb more water.

It is secreted by the pancreas.
It stimulates the liver to convert glucose to glycogen for storage.
What is the function of adrenaline and where is it released?
It is secreted from the adrenal gland.
It increases the heart rate, the blood flow to muscles and the blood sugar levels preparing the body for actions.
What is the role of Testosterone and where is it released?
It is secreted from the testes.
It promotes secondary male characteristics e.g. pubic hair, muscles, facial hair, growth of penis
What is the role of Oestrogen and where is it released?
It is secreted from the ovaries.
It promotes secondary female characteristics e.g. pubic hair, breast growth, widening of hips
Repairs and thickens the lining of the uterus.
What is the role of Progesterone and where is released?
It is secreted from the ovaries.
Maintains the lining of the uterus by adding blood vessels to it.
