How often is a Local Plan published?

A

Required, under the Town and Country Planning (Local Plan Regulations) 2012 to review every 5 years. Local Plan are often produced for a 15 year period, so updates would be published at the 5 year mark.

A

Reg 18 – make comments on anything on
Reg 19 – 4 things has to meet the 4 tests of soundness –
1. positively prepared
2. Justified
3. Effective
4. Consistent with national planning policies.
Goes to planning inspectorate and they can either approve it or throw it out
