How to unify footage quality (1080p and the rest)

You upscale. To do this, create a sequence. When you set your markers and put the 1080 video onto your 4k footage you’ll end up with a video that only takes up a small part of your 4k footage. So you need to upscale. Do this by right clicking and set to frame size

You can also go to edit > preferences > media and then default media scaling and choose set the frame size. You delete your original click and then drag it back in again and it scales up for you.
