who needs a biennial vaccine CE?
anyone that gives vaccine to pts 14-17;
gives vaccines to pts 11-17 (HPV, TDAP, meningo, flu)
who needs an OCP CE?
anyone who precribes and dispenses contraceptive supplies

Can pharmacies accept return of any rx drug?
conditionally
what are the conditions under which a pharmacist may accept a return of an RX drug?
- collection for disposal only
- pharmacy is registered with the DEA as and authorized collector
- no reimbursement is offered (refund/credit)

secured collection recepticals or mail back program

which vaccines can a pharmacist administer to children?
any vaccine to persons 14-17 with vaild rx

who does a pharmacist give a vax record to and what does it include?
pt name, DOB

who does the pharmacist have to provide vax info to, by when, and what information must be included?
medical home; 72 hours

- name of vax product (incl. mfr, lot, exp date)
- method of admin
- anatomical site of admin
who can a pharmacist provide a contraceptive to?
any patient regardless if pt has previous rx
what are the requirements of a provider who prescribes and dispenses contraceptives?
- complete ACPE program
- self-screening risk assessment
- refer pt to the patient’s PCP
- give pt written record of supplies
