What is eutrophication?
Fertilisers in the water causing big colonies of algae, plants underneath can’t access sunlight so less oxygen in water so no oxygen for fish
What is accumulation effect?
When an insect eats the toxic pesticides and herbicides which several of them get eaten by a bird and the cycle continues
What is a peat?
Soil that is too acidic for decay
What is a use of peat bog when dry?
Fuel, combustion=Co2
What is a way farmers get rid of peat bog and what is the effect?
Drained, when dried peat decays releasing Co2
What is biodiversity?
The variety of different species of organisms on Earth, or in a ecosystem
