Main system reservoir
Engine bleed air pressurizes it to prevent foaming and to provide and adequate supply of hydraulic fluid to the pumps.
Low pressure output by either pump is indicated by what
HYD 1 or 2 LO PRESS
Means pressure is below 1500 psi.
Fluid temp in excess of what temperature causes HYD OVHT to illuminate.

Operation
When the right engine starts, pump received fluid through suction filter and open/off valve.
As pressure increases to 1750 psi HYD 2 LO will extinguish.
Increasing pressure maintains a pressure maintaining valve and pressure and pressure is i dictated.
Should stabilize at 3000 psi.
What happens if a pump fails.
Low pressure switch operates when pressure drops to 1500 psi.
Annunciation will illuminate after a delay of 57 seconds to allow system recovery.
What happens if Both pumps fail?
Both annunciators will
Illuminate.
Indicator will show 2300 psi because the pressure maintaining valve he closed.
Two full flow relief valves.
Opens at 4000 psi to return fluid back to the reservoir.
Aux hydraulic system
Pressurized by hand pump and provides alternate source for landing gear lowering and flaps.
What does it provide for the flaps and gear?
One extension for the gear and flaps.
