Power
The ability to effect change
Sovereignty
A states independence, its control over territory and its ability to govern itself
Legitimacy
An actor or an action being commonly considered acceptable and provides the fundamental basis or rationale for all forms of governance and other forms of excising power over each other
Interdepdence
The mutual reliance between and among groups, organisations, geographic areas and states for access to resources that sustain living arrangements
Human Rights
Claims and Entitlements that people should be able to exercise simply by being a human being
Justice
Associated with fairness and people getting what they deserve, often linked to rights
Liberty
Having freedom and autonomy
Equality
Everyone is equal, often linked to liberty
Development
Sustained increase in the standard of living and well-being of a level of social organisation
Globalisation
Economies, societies and cultures becoming increasingly integrated and connected globally
Inequality
Equality is not realised
Sustainability
development should meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs
Peace
The absence of conflict and violence
Conflict
Actual or perceived opposition between individuals or groups
Violence
The physical or phycological force afflicted upon another being
Non- violence
The practice of advocating ones own rights or others rights without physically harming the opponent
