Why is EtherChannel used?

A

To overcome load balancing limitations of STP eliminating loops within the physical links.

What is one way EtherChannel works with STP?

A

If one of the physical links go down or come back up, the protocols manage the deletion and addition of the link without STP realizing the change. STP only sees on physical link.
