Mechanism: 0.5 - 3 increase renal vasodilation
2 - 10 increase contractility
> 10 stimulate alpha receptors (vasoconstriction)

Mechanism - stimulates b1 and mild b2 (increases contractility with some vasodilation, no change to hr)
Route: IVP, infusion

Indications: hf unresponsive to dig/ diuretics, vasodilation
Mechanism: inhibits phosphodiesterase breakdown relaxing smooth muscle ( increases contractility, decrease preload and after load)
