Where is China located?
China is in the eastern part of Asia, next to the Pacific Ocean.
Which countries are to the east, south, west, and north of China?
To the east are South Korea and Japan, to the south are Thailand and Singapore, to the west is Afghanistan, and to the north is Russia.
What are the various landforms in China?
Mountains, hills, plateaus, basins, and plains.
How do mountains and hills differ?
Mountains are tall with steep and uneven slopes, while hills are lower and have gentle slopes.
What is a plateau?
A large piece of flat land high above sea level.
What is a basin?
Low land surrounded by higher land.

A large piece of flat land just above sea level.
What is the general relief of China?
High in the west and low in the east.
