SIGNIFICAINCE
Example of how American/world public kept in dark/lied to (us breaking agreement)
Part of secret war orchestrated by CIA in Cambodia and Laos
Largely responsible for refugee crisis, but b/c secret, US doesn’t claim responsibility and whole world must work to fix it.

–shows how violence against Muslims is tolerated by US society
–denial of islamophobia
–didn’t label attacks as domestic terror
–never passed charges against anyone even though fairly obvious who perpetrated it.
