indicates “hidden” tools behind that tool

displays current magnification level
status bar
contains a list arrow menu you can choose status line with info about that tool
panels
windows containing features for modifying and manipulating illustrator objects arranged in groups

allows you to arrange multiple panels or panel groups vertically
