Laissez Faire Goverment
Is a government that is “Hands off” towards business, society regulations and law making.

A period of rapid growth in industry in the late 1800s.
Moving Assembly Line
An innovation of Henry Ford’s that dramatically reduced the cost of production by mass producing items on conveyor belt.

A process developed by Eli Whitney that called for making each part the exact same way (revolutionary and paves the way to the moving assembly line)

The process of turning iron ore into steel (Brought to this country by Andrew Carnegie- AKA owner of Carnige steel.

A leader of his industry during the Gilded Age who concentrated on his own wealth while trying to eliminate all competition to his corporation.

A very wealthy individual who donates significant amounts of his or her fortune to various charities and organizations.

The complete control of a certain industry and when there is no competition to the company or owner.

A law passed by Congress that bans Chinese from immigrating to the US for 10 years.

Living in a state of being very poor without proper nutrition, health care and with little to no way of escaping your conditions.
