Adjustment of status

Beneficiary
immigrant applying for a visa or green card.
Petitioner
U.S. citizen or green card holder filing for their relative.
Priority Date
date when the I-130 petition is filed
Waiver
(I-601, I-601A) – Request to forgive inadmissibility (fraud, unlawful presence, crimes).
