Tetanus

Tetanus shot 2, 4 and 6 months of age. Booster at 4 years + 12-13 (at year 7)

If >5 years since last booster (ie 9-13yo) + tetanus prone wound = give another booster.
If >10 years since last booster + any wound = give another booster

Tetanus prone wound = Compound fracture, bites, deep penetrating, foreign bodies, extensive tissue damage like burns, obviously contaminated with dirt/manure

Give tetanus immunoglobulin (TIG) if wound + unimmunised/complete primary course/uncertain hx. If immunodeficiency, require TIG
