Exp - this has an impact because those commit crime, especially violent or sexual crimes, may be stigmatised and excluded form their community, making them feel isolated
Exa - when some criminals return home after being in jail they may find that they are no longer accepted by their community due to a lack of trust.

Exp - this has an impact because if an adult is sentenced to time in prison, they are no longer able to work or provide an income for their household, this can leave families without a vital income
Exa - if someone is sentenced to a long period of time in prison, their families will need to face the economic burden of continuing to handle their finances

Exp - this has an impact because when a family member commits a crime, families experience emotional distress because when they’re in prison, the family has to cope with that loss of not being able to see them
Exa - perpetrators miss out on important events and milestones in their families lives, this can be extremely emotionally difficult for children who have parents in prison
