A doubt with the verbs “creer,” “parecer,” or “pensar” negatively ex. No creo que…
An impersonal opinion ex. Es necesario que compres pan
To give an order or suggestion indirectly with an imperative with an imperative (authoritative command)
When it’s “up to” someone [to decide/do something] ex. Haz lo que quieras (do what you want)
The condition of something “unknown” ex. Quiero un abrigo que sea rojo y largo (I want a coat that’s red and long)
A doubt with “tal vez” or “quizas” ex. Tal vez (Maybe) sea mi culpa
Purpose with “para que”/”a fin de que” (for the purpose of)
Wishing someone something ex. Que tengas un buen dia!
Future ideas with “cuando” and “hasta que” ex. Cuando vaya a la universidad estudiare mucho
With “aunque” ex. Te quiero aunque seas un poco pescado

The imperfect is used to describe how things were/what things were like (describing characteristics of people, things, or conditions)
