Meeting all these needs contributes to a person’s overall well-being.
Physical Needs
Physical needs are the most basic—food, water, shelter, sleep, and oxygen—essential for survival.
Spiritual Needs
Spiritual needs involve one’s connection to a higher power and are fulfilled through religious or spiritual practices, bringing inner peace and purpose.
Emotional Needs
Emotional needs include love, acceptance, and appreciation, which are vital for mental wellness.
Intellectual Needs
Intellectual needs focus on learning, understanding, and personal growth through education and reasoning.
Social needs
Social needs involve forming and maintaining healthy relationships and connections with others
Safety and protection needs
safety needs relate to feeling protected and secure in all environments.

Nutrients
Nutrients are essential in supporting the life and health of your body.
The most important compounds that make up your body are proteins, fats, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and water.
Diet
Diet refers to the different kinds of foods that you eat.
Healthy diet
A healthy diet is one in which a variety of foods, using guided quantities, is consumed during meal times.

-Eat a variety of foods
-Include the use of complex carbohydrates and fibres
-balance the food you eat with physical activity

This can help in:
-improving the health of the heart
-reducing high blood pressure
-promoting better sleep
Sufficient sleep
As you grow and mature you need less sleep, and the recommended standard is atleast 7-8 hours. Young children and teenagers need more sleep than this.
Factors that contribute to poor health
Diseases, stress, substance use and abuse

Get enough sleep and rest
Try to manage time effectively
