Complications of Bacterial Vaginosis (3)
Increased risk of higher up infection
Premature rupture of the membranes
Risk of miscarriage in concurrent pregnancy
What is trichomonas vaginalis?
A single celled parasite: humans are the only host
How is trichomonas vaginalis transmitted?
Sexual contact
Fomites
