Needed to make many copies to advertise widely, used lithography to make several exact copies. Seen in Nord Express which was used to advertise train travel.

Seen in fonts he designed. Wanted text to be easy to read, thought would help sell products. Designed ‘Peignot’, sans serif and block capitals which he believed were easier to read.
