What are we often uncertain about?
What behaviours or beliefs are right or wrong
An example of ISI?
You may not know an answer in a class but if most of the class agrees on what answer then you’ll agree with that answer because you feel they are likely to be right
What’s the reason the individuals follow the behaviour?
Because it is to do with what you think
When is ISI most likely to happen?
In situations that are new to a person or situations where there is some ambiguity. So it isn’t clear what is right
What is also typical?
In crisis situations where decisions have to be made quickly
When does it also occur?
When one person or group is regarded as being more of an expert
What is ISI about?
Who has the better information - you or the rest of your group
