Where is a spiglian hernia located?

Lateral below umbilical


What are the 2 types of inguinal hernias and how can u distinguish between the 2?

Direct; weakness of abdominal wall, only passes thru superficial ring

Indirect; congenital, deep ring didn’t close up properly, hernia passes thru deep and superficial ring


Describe femoral hernias

Bit between femoral vessels and lacunar ligament and pectineal ligament, follows path of femoral vessels


During descent of testes what bits of tissue descend?

Peritoneum, fascia, transverse abdominus, internal and external oblique, scarpas facsia, skin, cremaster muscle/fascia, tunica vaginalis
