  • In 1945 the majority of the audience were christian, so Priestly uses this christian imagery to say to the christian audience, THAT IF THEY REALLY ARE CHRISTIANS, THEIR ONLY CHOICE IS TO BE SOCIALIST, and to be capitalist is anti-christian
  • This quote comes from the christian Eucharist - so it symbolises the blood and the body of Jesus, showing that we are all sons of God - saying to the audience that they have to be responsible to everyone
