free fatty acid content is converted to fatty acyl -coa which activates pkc, ser/thr cascade is activated to +Pi a ser/thr in IRS. This is the WRONG +Pi. This inhibits the +Pi of tyrosine which is the RIGHT +Pi needed to transmit insulin signals!!!!!!!!!
These insulin signals are needed to increase GLUT 4 transporter fusion rates
