After working in a variety of roles and broadening my scope of education, adaptability has become my greatest skill.
I leverage my previous experience to new positions, maintaining a learning mindset to consistently improve my expertise, and bring out the best in my work. I am very interested in applying these skills in new roles, gaining more career experience to compliment these skills.
I would describe myself as confident, hard working, and supportive of my colleagues. I have had a wide range of work and my managers often praised me for my efficiency, initiative, and helping to train new team members.
What is your biggest weakness?
I would say my biggest weakness is delegation.

While I do my best to efficiently manage a caseload and collaborate with others, sometimes it escapes me when I take on tasks myself to ensure they are done to my standards.
I am working on delegating tasks more effectively and monitoring progress without micromanaging, so this can help me shift my focus on higher priority tasks.
Why did you leave your last role?
I learned a lot in my previous role but ultimately, I wanted to branch out into different roles to broaden my expertise.
I believe that the skills I have gained would be a key asset to this role and give me a unique perspective when looking for new solutions when problem solving.
How can your skills in Project Management apply to this role?
In my previous role as a Project Manager, I’ve developed strong organizational skills, multitasking skills, and an eye for detail.
These skills are transferable where I would be handling various cases and ensuring each client’s needs are met and addressed effectively.
My experience collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders will enable me to work harmoniously with colleagues, clients, and community members to advocate for their rights.
How have you managed multiple complex projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines?
I have successfully managed complex projects by breaking them down into smaller, manageable tasks, setting clear priorities and establishing realistic timelines.
I ensure to align my team and stakeholders with regular communication and address any potential challenges promptly.
Learning and mastering new subjects?
Working across different industries and domains has taught me how to maintain a learning mindset.
I’ve used a combination of self-directed learning, consulting with experienced experts and thorough research to become knowledgeable about new topics
Transitioning to this role, I would apply the same approach to understand legal regulations and effectively apply them to support clients

I think the key in creating positive relationships is being able to find common ground using my interpersonal skills.

I’m committed to staying in this role for the foreseeable future to bring value, learn and grow within the organization and make the most of opportunities to continue advancing my career.
Challenging interpersonal dynamics at work
In one project, we had conflicting opinions regarding safety protocols, leading to a breakdown in communication.
I organized a team meeting to openly discuss concerns and develop ways for us to implement solutions with minimal friction
This helped us find a resolution and establishing better collaboration channels along the way.
This experience helped me grow and navigate interpersonal challenges, and maintain a transparent stream of communication at work
Clear communication- positive relationships, meetings, emails
I have implemented regular meetings, detailed progress reports and concise email updates to ensure that all members of the project were informed and aligned.
I have also always made positive relationships within my teams a crucial part of my work. I believe that everyone should feel valued and be able to finish the day on a good note and feel motivated to return tomorrow.
I like to understand the temperament of my colleagues, clients and stakeholders in order to determine the best mode of collaboration and communication.
Problem solving challenges and how could they apply to the role
In my previous role, we were working on a tight timeline to complete a home renovation.
Following an inspection, we discovered that the house would require extensive asbestos abatement and inspections in order to start the project.
As we were located in a small community, it was difficult to find a contractor to complete the abatement in the short timeline-
I had to coordinate with a contractor from Vancouver to plan for a four-day abatement.
I created a revised estimate for the project to consult the client about additional charges and if it would impact the scope of their project to stay within budget.
As we were on a tight deadline requested by the client, I ensured that-
> our designs were completed well before the project initiation,
>that all materials were purchased and stored on site, or in our warehouses,
>And that we planned our team’s work schedules to consider the initiation of the new project
This type of creative problem solving can help me find creative solutions to navigate obstacles while ensuring client’s needs are met effectively
Learning new things and understanding client needs
I would start by immersing myself in the relevant material, attending seminars, and engaging with experienced professionals.
To understand our client’s needs, I’d actively listen and empathize during consultations, asking the right questions in order to provide tailored support based on each situation
Legal workshops and previous presentation experience
Absolutely. I have conducted safety briefings to on site teams to communicate project hazards, new practices, and daily requirements to promote a safe and healthy workplace
I have held client and stakeholder meetings to deliver project updates, concerns and next steps for the project.
These meetings required breaking down complex topics through basic language to ensure effective and clear communication.
This experience aligns well with this role as I can communicate legal information clearly to diverse audiences.
Maintain records and stakeholder updates
I have used various tools to manage projects and attention to detail and daily check-ins has been crucial in maintaining these tools.
I centralize all project information in order to create documented trails and allow our teams to easily access project information.
Centralizing information allowed us to easily export reports and active budget information, simplifying communication with our clients.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my role as a Project Manager and believe that my organizational, communication, and problem solving skills are valuable assets in the this field, allowing me to effectively manage cases, communicate with clients and contribute to positive outcomes in the lives of those in need.
