Pathology

Pathogenesis
The pattern of tissue changes associated with the DEVELOPMENT of disease.
Etiology
The study of the CAUSE of the disease.
Idiopathic
Diseases that have no identifiable cause.
Iatrogenic
Diseases that occur as a result of medical treatment .
Diagnosis
The naming or identification of a disease. A state of complete knowledge.
Prognosis
The expected outcome of a disease.
Exacerbations
Are periods when the symptoms become worse or more severe.
Complication
The onset of a disease in a person who is already coping with another existing disease.
Clinical manifestations
The signs and symptoms or evidence of disease.
Epidemiology
The study of tracking patterns or disease occurrence and transmission among populations and by geographical areas. (The study of disease upon people)
Precipitating factor
A condition or event that causes a pathological event or disorder. example: asthma is precipitated by exposure to an allergen.
Endemic
A disease or condition regularly found among particular people or in a certain area - pertaining to within people.
Epidemic
A widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community - pertaining to upon people.
Pandemic
A disease that is prevalent over a whole country or the world - pertaining to all people.
