what happens to an accent when the ultima of a word is long
the accent cannot be on the antepenult, if it has accent on penult it has to be acute. When the end of a word has to change to a long syllable, and the accent has to move, It is like making the end of the word heavier, ‘tipping’ the word, and making the accent roll closer to the end of the word.
If the ultima is short and the long penult is accented, what accent does it have to be
circumflex
