Q

What is the shared responsibility model?

A

The cloud provider is responsible for the hardware maintenance, OS, security and everything required to provide computing services. The consumer is responsible for security and data stored in the cloud.

Provider = OF the cloud

Q

What are the three levels of services and which way does each skew to place more responsibility on the provider or consumer?

A

Infra as a service (Iaas) - The cloud provider is only responsible for the physical hardware (the infra)
Platform as a service (Paas)
Software as a service (Saas)

Infra places more responsibility on the the consumer and Software on the cloud provider.

Q

What are the 3 cloud models for deployment?

A

Private cloud - You have much more control, may be deployed on site
Public cloud - Built, deployed and maintained by the third-part cloud services provider
Hybrid - Can allow a private cloud to temporarily surge to meet an increase in demand and deploy public cloud resources as needed
