Science is the knowledge about the structure and behavior of natural facts that can be proven by experiments.
What are the three disciples of Science?
Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Define Biology
It’s is the study of living organisms.
NB: Biology is from the two Greek words i.e bios and logos.
Bios means life and logos means knowledge.
What are the three main branches of Biology?
Botany, Zoology and Microbiology.
Define the three main branches of Biology.
Botany; the study of plants.
Zoology; study of animals.
Microbiology; the study of micro-organisms.
Define Biotechnology
Biotechnology is a sub-branch of Biology that deals with development techniques of biological processes.
NB: Always strive to write the definition of the branches and sub-branches of Biology as shown above.

It is the study of birds.
Define Ichthyology
It is the study of fish.
Define Cytology
It is the study of cells.
Define Histology
It is the study of tissue structures.
Define Ecology
It is the study of the inter-relationships of living organisms to each other and to their environment.

It is the study of inheritance and variations.
Define Entomology
It is the study of insects.
