Civics
The study of rights, duties of citizenship.
Community
A group of people having the same particular characteristics in common, or a group of people living in the same place.
Government
The governing body of a nation, state, or community.
Values
The regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
Morals
A lessons, especially one concerning what is right or prudent, that can derived from a story, a piece of information, or a experience.
Welfare
The health, happiness, and fortunes of a person or group.
Equality
The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.
Unity
The state of being united or joined as a whole.
Independent
Free from outside control; not depending on another’s authority.
Dependent
Contingent on or determined by.
Fair
Impartial and just, without favoritism or discrimination.
Equity
The quality of being fair and impartial.
Diversity
The state of being diverse; variety.
Honestly
In a truthful, fair, or honorable way.
Sovereign
A supreme ruler, especially a monarch.
Ethics
Moral principles that govern a person’s behavior or the conducting of an activity.
Determination
Firmness of purpose; resoluteness.
Justice
Just behavior or treatment.
Social Contract
An implicit agreement among the members of a society to cooperate for social benefits, for example by sacrificing some individual freedom for state protection. Theories of a social contract became popular in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries among theorists such as Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as a means of explaining the origin of government and the obligations of subjects.
Superior
Higher in rank, status, quality, or above.
Inferior
Lower in rank, status, or quality.
Federal
Having or relating to a system of government in which several states form a unity but remain independent in internal affairs.
Constitutional
Relating to an established set of principles governing a state.
State Government
Government of the state.
