A holistic approach to analysis that focuses on the way that a system’s component parts interrelate and how system’s work overtime. Why? To maximize the thinking process so it follows a certain pattern

A

Elements of culture that are most easily seen at an emotional level (e.g. Food, dress, music, literature, etc.)

Unspoken rules that requires high emotional levels to be visible (e.g. conversational patterns, concept of time, personal space, facial expressions, etc.)

Culture Visibility: What is Deep Culture?

A

Things that are a part of the culture which cannot be seen at surface/by looking at someone. (e.g. patterns of group decision-making, tolerance of physical pain, problem solving roles in relation to age, sex, class, occupation, kinship, etc.). Why? They are deeply rooted values that affect the culture and are unconscious rules that are practiced
