List the organs found in the thoracic cavity

A

The thoracic cavity is formed by the ribs, the muscle of the chest, the sternum and the thoracic portion of the vertebral column. It contains the pericardial cavity which surrounds the heart, the pleural cavity which surrounds each of the lungs and the mediastinum which contains the heart, thymus, oesophagus, trachea and several large blood vessels.

A

The abdominal cavity contain the stomach, spleen, liver, gallbladder, small intestine, and most of the large intestine.

The pelvic cavity contains the urinary bladder, portions of the large intestine, and internal organs of reproduction.

The cranial cavity is formed by the cranial bones and contains the brain, and the vertebral canal which is continuous with the cranial cavity is formed by the vertebral column and contains the spinal cord and the beginnings of the spinal nerves.
