Hatha is first four limbs (yama, niyama, asana, pranayama) and raja is the second two. Visible internal practise

- Ahimsa

Ahimsa
Practise of non violence
Satya
Truthfulness. We must be careful to not speak a truth if we know it will cause harm to another.
Asteya
Non stealing. Not taking what is not freely given.
Brahmacharya
Continence. When we have control over our physical impulses of excess, we attain knowledge, vigour and increased energy.
Aparigraha
Non coveting. Let go of that which we dont need.
5 Niyamas
- Shaucha
- Samtosha
- Tapas
- Svadhyaya
- Ishvara pranidana
Shaucha
Purification. Rid ourselves of impurities to grow and evolve.
Samtosha
Contentment. Not craving what we do not have as well as not coveting the possessions of others.
Tapas
Austerity. Yogic practise of intense self discipline and attainment of will power.
Svadhyaya
Self study
Ishvara prandihana
Devotion. Dedication, devotion and surrender of the fruits of ones practise to a higher power.
Asanas
Steera, sucra, asana (steady, pleasant, pose)
Practise of physical postures
Pratyahara
Control of the senses. Drawing back to retreat. Withdraw onself from that which nourishes the senses. Eg. Meditation.
Dharana
Immovable concentration if the mind. Idea to hold concentration on one ting. Eg candle.
Dhyana
Worship and meditate to the universe. Concentration upon a point of focus with the intention of knowing the truth about it.
Samadhi
Enlightenment.
3 gunas of nature
Tamas, rajas, sattva
Tamas
Manifests from ignorance and deludes all beings from spiritual truths.
Rajas
State of energy action change and movement. Nature of rajas is attraction, longing and attachment and rajas strongly binds us to the fruit of our work. Reduce rajas avoids over exercising, loud music, excessive thinking and consuming material goods
Sattva
State of harmony, balance, joy and intelligence. Increase by reducing rajas and tamas
