What is intuitionism ?

A

The idea that moral truths can be discovered by using our mind in an intuitive way. This ability is innate and the same for everyone

Why is a mature mind needed ?

A

Intuition needs a mature mind as an infantile mind doesn’t have enough knowledge to recognise their intuitionism.

Why did G.E Moore criticise naturalism and what did he propose instead ?

A

He said it was guilty of the naturalistic fallacy - the theory that good cannot be defined - he proposed intuitionism (non naturalism) instead, he believed that the meaning of good is self evident.

A self evident truth is it’s own evidence and needs no evidence, our understanding/ intuition is the evidence
