What is an ionic bond
A
Electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions

Why is diamond unbreakable
A
Carbon atoms covalently bonded in a giant tetrahedral lattice
The covalent bonds are very strong therefore diamond is very
hard and so good for cutting tools
