Consequentialism
A
the class of normative ethical theories holding that the consequences of one’s conduct are the ultimate basis for any judgment about the rightness or wrongness of that conduct.

Deontology
A
an approach to Ethics that focuses on the rightness or wrongness of actions themselves, as opposed to the rightness or wrongness of the consequences of those actions (Consequentialism) or to the character and habits of the actor (Virtue Ethics)

Intentions vs. Motives
A
intentions are what we set out to achieve, while motives are the underlining reasons. You can have good intentions and ulterior motives at the same time.
