The salat is the pray. 5 times a day
What is the Sawm?
The Sawm is the fast of Ramadan (not eating for a month for the commemoration of the coming down of the koran)
What is the zakat?
The zakat is tax for the poor. (2.5% is given away)
What is the hajj?
The hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca. (Journey to the birthplace of the prophet, believed to wash away their sins)
What does the word Islam mean?
The Arabic word for submission
