Worldview
A particular philosophy of life or conception of the world.
Perspective
A particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.

A particular attitude or way of considering a matter.
Monsoon
a seasonal prevailing wind in the region of South and Southeast Asia, blowing from the southwest between May and September and bringing rain (the wet monsoon ), or from the northeast between October and April (the dry monsoon ).
Shogun
a hereditary commander-in-chief in feudal Japan. Because of the military power concentrated in his hands and the consequent weakness of the nominal head of state (the mikado or emperor), the shogun was generally the real ruler of the country until feudalism was abolished in 1867.

worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand.

a system of philosophical and ethical teachings founded by Confucius and developed by Mencius.
Feudalism
the dominant social system in medieval Europe, in which the nobility held lands from the Crown in exchange for military service, and vassals were in turn tenants of the nobles, while the peasants (villeins or serfs) were obliged to live on their lord’s land and give him homage, labor, and a share of the produce, notionally in exchange for military protection.
Hereditary
determined by genetic factors and therefore able to be passed on from parents to their offspring or descendants.
Isolationism
a policy of remaining apart from the affairs or interests of other groups, especially the political affairs of other countries.

a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining.

assimilation definition. The process by which a person or persons acquire the social and psychological characteristics of a group: “Waves of immigrants have been assimilated into the American culture.”
