Q

What is the actual impact of Censored Mail?

A

If they are truthful they will get in trouble. The program wants you to only write about the positive. If you do not enjoy the program, much like Julia, too bad, you have to only write about the positive or you will get your points docked

Scheeres and her adopted black brother David were raised in a strict white Christian family in rural Indiana in the 1980s. The family followed rigid rules around dating, sexuality, and gender roles based on their religious beliefs. When Scheeres and David were teenagers, their parents sent them to Escuela Caribe, a brutal Christian reform school in the Dominican Republic, to enforce religious obedience
