Q

Explain the symbolism in Jesus’s baptism

A

The heavens opening represented God’s presence.
Mark said that the holy spirit descended on Jesus like a dove. Some Christians think of the dove as a symbol of peace and interpret this imagary to mean that Jesus experienced the peace of God and his heart.
Gods voice meant Jesus was receiving both direct divine approval and the confirmation that he was God beloved son.
The Trinity was present in all three forms.
