Q

When the people of Boston grew restless over the new taxes, England sent soldiers to keep the peace and force the colonist to obey. On a cold, snowy evening in March 1770, a small mob of ruffians began throwing snowballs at a British soldier. Some of the mob began throwing stones as well. British soldiers came running to stop the fight. Suddenly, an unknown person shouted the order to fire. In the confusion, the soldiers fired their guns, and five colonists were keeled. Crispus Attucks, a black merchant seaman, was the first to fall and die in the American colonies’ struggle for freedom. The people of Boston angrily called this incident the _____________________
