A
the weak hydrogen bonds between the base pairs break. the DNA molecule unwinds and unzips

A
primers are short strands of complementary nucleotides which bind to the template strand of DNA

what is DNA polymerase
A
DNA is replicated by an enzyme called DNA polymerase. DNA polymerase uses complementary base pairing to add nucleotides to the 3’ end of the new DNA strand.
