They believe that the creation of the world and all its creatures took place in 6 days
They don’t agree with the theory of evolution

A group of non religious people who don’t believe in God
They don’t believe God created the world
Big bang theory
Teh theory that the universe was created in a huge explosion at least 12 billion yrs ago
The universe expanded and continues to expand
Evolution
A scientific theory about how animals and plants have changed and adapted to their environments over time
Charles Darwin observed this in the world
Creation
The act of creating the universe
The universe which has been created
Pollution
The action of making land water or air dirty and not safe or suitable to use
Littering is an example of pollution

Materials which r found in nature which can be used by humans
And example of a natural resource is coal
Steward
Someone who looks after the world
Christians believe that God has created us to be stewards of creation so we have a responsibility to care for the planet
CAFOD
Stands for Catholic agency for overseas development
It is a Catholic charity working to help stop poverty and suffering in the world
Allah
The name for God the Supreme being in the Arabic language
Muslims believe he created the world and all life in it
Five pillars
They r 5 obligations or duties that every Muslim must do
This is to make sure they live a good life according to allah
Prophets
Is the term used to describe messages of Allah
Adam was the first messanger and Muhammed was the last
Qur’an
The islamic sacred book believed to be the word of God
It was dictated to Muhammed by the archangel jibril and written down in arabic
Ramadan
9th month of the islamic lunar calendar
Every day during this month Muslims around the world spend day light hours in a complete fast
Abraham
An important prophet to Jews Christians and Muslims
He is believed to be the first pilgrim after god sent him on a special journey
Pilgrimage
A journey to a particular palace of interest or importance
A chance to reflect and connect with god
Jerusalem
A holy place for Jews Christians and Muslims
It is the capital city of the modern state of Israel
Lourdes
A town in France which is a leading place of pilgrimage for Roman Catholics
Bernadette had visions of the virgin Mary there in 1858
Hajj
The Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca which all Muslims r expected to make at least once during their lifetime
It is one of the five pillars of islam
Sacrament
There r seven Sacraments in the Catholic church
Sacraments r ways in which Christians can receive god’s help and love
Baptism
When a person is made a member of the church
The priest pours water over the head to take away sin
Chrism
Scented oil used in baptism and confirmation
It represents courage and strength
Confirmation
When a baptised person confirms their Christian belief and becomes a full member of the church
It is one of the sacraments of the Catholic church
