diferene between renewable and non-renewabel
rnon-enewable- A non-renewable resource is one that takes a very long time to be replaced; usually thousands to millions of years.
renewable- Renewable resources are those that can be replaced by natural processes at the same rate at which they are being used and never run out.
Identify uses of water and the parts of the environment through which water cycles.
Humans use water for drinking, industrial applications, irrigating agriculture, hydropower, waste disposal, and recreation.
Describe the physical processes of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration,
and runoff; label these on a diagram.
evaporation - when the sun heats the water and the water rises into the sky
condensation- when the water turns into a cloud
precipitation- when the water falls form the sky and the clouds
transpiration- this is when the water from the plant evaporates into thte sky later to condense and fall
run off- when the water runs of the mountains into under water sheds or other places.
biophere resources
a. Biosphere
Contains all of the plants and living organisms
Some uses:
-Plants for food, cooking and as a resource for primary consumers
-Animals as a source of food as well as consumers
-plants such as trees used for furniture
-medicine
atmosphere
Gases
a)Oxygen carbon dioxide and nitrogen
liphospere
-Uranium is also used from the lithosphere. We use this to create nuclear energy.
-Building materials & shelter Road, houses, golf courses, sea defences
-Household products crockery, toothpaste, make up, electrical wiring, cans for food storage-
hydrophere
-washing
-Hygiene
-cooking
-drinking
-water is used in industry during production processes to make things such as wood and metal items.
-water is used in agriculture, electricity
