what is the context for north korea invading south korea
Americans freed the koreans in the south, and USSR freed the koreans in the north from the japanese. the line seperating people saved by soviets and usa was the 38th parallel
then the UN holds an election in the south, which was won by syngman rhee. rhee then established a dictatorship and killed lots of communists
then kim il sung makes north korea, which allies with china
both koreas want to unify under their own rule
