15
Q

What is conventional current?

A

Conventional Current assumes that current flows out of the positive terminal, through the circuit and into the negative terminal of the source. This was the convention chosen during the discovery of electricity. (opposite to the flow of e- ions)

16
Q

what is electric potential?

A

electric potential is the amount of work needed to move a unit positive charge from a reference point to a specific point inside the field without producing any acceleration.

17
Q

how is electric potential dentoted?

A

V

18
Q

what is voltage?

A

Voltage can be defined as the electric potential between two points

19
Q

delta V =

A

V= W/Q

20
Q

what is S.I unit of electric potential?

A

Volts

21
Q

S.I unit of work done

A

Joule

22
Q

s.i unit of charge

A

coulomb

23
Q

define 1v of potential difference.

A

The potential difference between two point is said to be 1 volt if 1 Joule of work is done in moving a positive change of 1 Coulomb from one point to the other against the electrostatic force.
