- Provide clean and comfortable bed for the patient
- Prevent pressure injury

- Ensure patient comfort & safety

Infection control for bed making
Hand hygiene / soiled
- Wash hand or hand hygiene before and after contacting with patient’s linen.
- Place soiled linen away from uniform
- Place soiled linen into ccordiign hamper
- Do not shake soiled linen to avoid disseminate secretions
- Do not put client’s linen onto other’s.
Practice of bed making
Pull tightly to avoid wrinkle to avoid pressure injury
Wet linen should not leave on the bed
Lock wheels / lower the bed when completed nursing care
Implementation of unoccupied bed
Mitred corner- wrinkle free
Toe pleat- provide space fro toes
