Psalm 8:3-4
“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”
Romans 1:20
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and his divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
Something taken for granted, or supposing
Assumption
A particular tendency that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice
Bias
Change in the gene pool of a population from a generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift
Evolution
In science, an observation that has been repeatedly confirmed and for all practical purposes is accepted as “true”
Fact
Random changes in the frequency of alleles in a gene pool, usually of small populations
Genetic drift
A tentative statement about the natural world leading to deductions that CAN be tested
Hypothesis
A descriptive generalization about how some aspects of the natural world behaves under stated circumstances
Law
The process by which organisms with traits better suited for an environment will tend to survive and reproduce in greater numbers
Natural selection
The evolutionary process by which new biological species arise
Speciation
In sexually reproducing organisms, species consist of individuals that can interbreed with each other
Species
Views that hold religious teachings about God are compatible with modern scientific understanding about biological evolution; believers of t.e. Generally try to harmonize evolutionary thought with the belief in God
Theistic evolution
In science, a well-substantiated explanation of some aspects of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses
Theory
