What were the key aspects of the Nazi Party’s 25-point programme?
- Equality of rights for Germans + abolish ToV
- Land + territory to support German pop.
- State = opportunity to look after citizens
- Only member of Aryan/German race = citizen > Jews excluded
- Form strong central govt. to run Germany
What was the significance of the failure of the Munich Putsch?
Short term failure
- Nazi party banned
- Hitler = trial for high treason & 5yr prison
Long term success
- Hitler only served 7 months (judge symphatised with his views)
- Wrote Mein Kampf = autobio. manifesto - v. popular
- Realised necessary to gain power through election (democratic)
How did the Nazi’s rebuild throughout the 1920s?
Through several measures
- Nazi propaganda = Hitler was strong leader
- Est. policies appealing to ordinary Germans
(e.g. anti-comm, anti-ToV, more equal + racially pure, preserve traditional Ger. values, scapegoat Jews)
- Hitler = sole authority in Party > clear focus
